good news and bad news

Good news:
           The big swollen spot on half my face wasn't blood collecting from a brain hemorrhage.
Bad news:
             The vet had to poke, shave, and cut to figure out what it was.
Good news:
           Gerrit did a stellar job cleaning my ear so that it didn't get infected.
Bad news:
             He didn't notice a lower bite that is now infected.
Good news:
             I'm feeling much better now that I'm taking some expensive pills.
