A Dream Come True

A few nights ago I thought I must have been dreaming. Three wide eyed boys (Heidi's nephews) with tons of energy came to play with me. Heidi was worried that I would have too much energy for them. Their energy left me panting as I watched them play. They gave me lots of treats and I got to show off my tricks. They even had some tricks up their sleeves to get Ginny to smile.

Top Ten

And here they are. . .the top ten reason why Heidi, Gerrit, and Ginny can't wait to get back to Mamopa Court.

#1 So that they can eat more raspberries.
They had raspberries by the handful, raspberry jelly, raspberry jello, raspberry shakes, and raspberry pie.

#2 So they can be enveloped by the lush thick green trees and rolling hills.

#3 So that they can attempt more hiking.

(This is dependent on Ginny's cooperation. She didn't enjoy being in the wrap this trip.)

#4 So that they can visit more places in Washington D.C.

#5 So that Ginny can play in the flowers.

#6 So that they can get more exercise.

#7 So that they can eat the incredible food the Grannie Annie and Grandpa make with skill and love.
#8 So that lots of people can entertain Ginny.

#9 So that they can watch fireflies at dusk.
#10 So that they can be with people they love.

Special Treatment

In May I started scratching my neck a lot. It got so bad that I was bleeding. Heidi put a bandage on my foot so that I wouldn't scratch. Gerrit wrapped a diaper, towel, and duck tape around my neck so that I wouldn't scratch. Unfortunately, I still found ways to scratch. I loved the attention. People stopped their cars to ask what was wrong with me. Pre-baby Ginny I would have had these things off in no time--but it was nice to be noticed again.

Finally; Heidi decided it was time to call the vet. Gerrit and I went. Vet Mat said it could be a fungus, bacteria, or allergy. He shaved my neck and gave me lots of medicine, a special shampoo, and ointment. I've got my own spot on the bathroom counter to keep it all. As you can see in the pictures--my neck is improving.Hooray for special treatment and anti-itch medicine!
